Fifth grade learned about unique architecture from all over the world. We looked at photographs of The Guggenheim Museum in New York, the Sydney Opera House, the Taj Mahal, and more. We also discussed architecture we have learned about before like 19th century homes, Frank Lloyd Wright's designs, and the skyscrapers in Chicago. Next, students drew small sketches of their own unique building design. They translated these sketches into their final project. Fifth grade honed in on their watercolor skills to complete the project.
