Fourth grade is learning and singing America the Beautiful in Music Class. In art we reiterated their studies and saw many visual examples of the lyrics.
We started with a sketch in yellow
paint. We used only the Primary Colors
to begin
painting.
Our final step is to add detail with watercolor pencils. This lesson integrated
their music studies, taught tons of color
theory, and parts of composition. We
also
honed our watercolor skills.
