Second grade just finished up a still life unit. We looked at and discussed several fine art examples of still life. We talked about how they were different from portraits or landscapes. We studied the colors the artists used and saw how they used overlapping to draw their objects.
Next, second grade drew several practice still life from objects in the center of the room. Finally, we drew one last still life and painted it. You can see more of this project on our website on Artsonia.com!
