First Grade built their own Japanese footbridge with masking tape. Next, they painted watercolor washes over the entire paper. To add texture we sprinkled salt on the wet paintings. On our last day of the project, we peeled off all our tape to reveal our magic bridge! We added a few extra flowers here and there with special colored pencils. We even got to watch "Linnea in Monet's Garden" while we did it! "Linnea in Monet's Garden" is a story of a little girl who goes to France and gets to go to Monet's garden in Giverny!
